Sizing & adjustment guide
Learn how to measure a shirt you already own or take your body measurements, and find the right size.
How to use our size chart
All measurements in our size charts are shown in inches. Collar, chest, waist and hip measurements are full-circumference measurements – they represent the measurement around the entire shirt.
To find your size, compare the chest, waist and hip measurements. These determine whether the body of the shirt will fit as intended.
Once you have found your size, check its sleeve and shirt lengths to determine if adjustments are needed.
Note: Do not choose a base size that is too tight or too loose through the body simply to obtain a different length.

Ways to measure
Each product page includes the complete measurements of the finished shirt. There are two ways to take the measurements you need:
1 - Measure a shirt (Recommended):
Measure a shirt that already fits you well, then compare its measurements with our size chart.
2 - Measure your body:
If you do not have a suitable shirt to measure, take your body measurements instead.
Note: Body measurements cannot be compared directly with shirt measurements. A shirt needs additional room for comfort and movement.
Measuring a shirt
1 - Button your best-fitting shirt and lay it flat on a flat surface.
Smooth the fabric without pulling or stretching it.
2 - Half chest:
Measure straight across the shirt just below the armholes. Double this measurement to get the full-circumference measurement.
3 - Half waist:
Measure straight across the lower part of the shirt where it sits at hip level. Double this measurement to get the full-circumference measurement.
4 - Half hip:
Measure straight across the shirt just below the armholes. Double this measurement to get the full-circumference measurement.
5 - Sleeve:
Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff, following the upper edge of the sleeve
6 - Shirt length:
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder, where the collar meets the shoulder seam, straight down to the bottom of the front hem. Keep the tape parallel to the button placket.

Measuring your body
1 - Use a soft measuring tape to measure.
For the chest, waist and hips, let the tape sit close to the body—secure and comfortable, but not too tight.
2 - Chest:
Measure around the fullest part of your chest and under your arms.
3 - Waist:
Measure around your natural waist. Stand normally and do not hold in your stomach.
4 - Hips:
Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
5 - Arm:
Measure from the outer edge of your shoulder to your wrist, following the natural line of your arm.
6 - Torso:
Measure from where your neck meets your shoulder, down the front of your body to where you want the hem to finish.

Length adjustments
Length is partly personal preference, but the guidance below provides a useful starting point.
Compare the sleeve and shirt lengths in the product size chart with your best-fitting shirt, or use your arm and torso measurements as a guide. If either needs to be shorter or longer, indicate accordingly when you place your order.
Sleeve length

Just right:
The cuff finishes at the wrist bone, where your wrist meets your hand.

Too short:
The wrist bone is exposed or the cuff pulls noticeably upwards when you bend your arm.

Too long:
The cuff extends onto your hand or fabric bunches above it.
Shirt length

Just right:
When untucked, the hem covers your waistband without covering your crotch. When tucked, it stays in place as you move.

Too short:
Your waistband becomes exposed or the shirt comes untucked when you raise your arms.

Too long:
The shirt covers your crotch, looks overly long when untucked or creates excessive bunching when tucked.
